Are your online Quran classes really 1-on-1, or are they group classes?

Every class is a private, live, 1-on-1 session between one student and one tutor — no group classes, no pre-recorded videos, no shared sessions. This means undivided attention, real-time corrections of pronunciation and Tajweed, and a pace matched entirely to the student's level.

Are classes really taught in English?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every class is conducted in clear English by English-speaking tutors. Arabic is only used when reciting the Quranic text itself. All rules, corrections, and explanations — including Tajweed rules — are delivered in English so students of any age can follow along without needing a translator.

What age groups do you teach?

We teach children from age 5, teenagers, and adults of any age — including complete-beginner reverts and lapsed Muslims restarting their foundations. Many of our adult students start from zero, and many children take classes alongside their parents. Tutors adjust pace and session length to the student's age and level.

Do I need to live in a Muslim-majority country to take classes?

What courses do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Six structured courses: Noorani Qaida (the Arabic alphabet and vowel rules, around 8 weeks), Basic Quran Reading (around 12 weeks), Quran with Tajweed (around 16 weeks), Daily Duas (around 6 weeks), Salat (around 4 weeks), and Memorize Quran Online — full Hifz, typically 2 to 3 years. Is the free trial class really free? Do I need to enter a card?

Yes — and no. The trial is a full 30-minute 1-on-1 class with a Hafiz or Hafiza tutor certified in Hifz, completely free, with no card details, no deposit, and no auto-enrolment. You meet the tutor, get an honest level assessment, and decide afterwards whether to enrol. There is no follow-up sales call either.

Question 8

How long is the trial class, and what actually happens in it?

The trial is 30 minutes long, on Zoom or Google Meet, with the tutor we match to the student profile (age, gender preference, and chosen course). The tutor briefly assesses the student's current level — or starts from zero if a complete beginner — teaches a short live lesson in the chosen area, and recommends which course to start with.

How do I book a trial class?

Can I take a trial in a specific course — Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz, Salat, or Duas?

Yes. When you book, tell us which course you are leaning toward — Noorani Qaida, Basic Quran Reading, Quran with Tajweed, Daily Duas, Salat, or Memorize Quran Online (Hifz) — and we match you with a tutor who specialises in that course. If you are unsure, the trial tutor will assess your level and recommend the right starting course.

Question 11

What happens after the trial — do you call me to push a plan?

Accepted Answer

No. We send a short summary of the assessment and a recommended plan, and that is the end of the follow-up. If you decide to enrol, you let us know; if not, no calls and no chasing. The trial is meant to inform your decision, not pressure it.

Question 12

What if the first trial tutor isn't the right fit?

Accepted Answer

Just tell us. We can match you with a different tutor for a second trial at no charge — no explanation needed. Tutor fit (especially for kids and adult beginners) matters more than credentials on paper, and we would rather you switch early than struggle later.

Question 13

How much do online Quran classes cost at Allamal Quraan?

Accepted Answer

There are 6 monthly plans, all billed in USD and all starting with a free 30-minute trial class: Starter — $30/month — 1 class/week; Basic — $49/month — 2 classes/week; Moderate — $69/month — 3 classes/week; Premium — $89/month — 4 classes/week; Exclusive — $99/month — 5 standard classes/week; Hifz Program — $129/month — 5 Hifz classes/week. Every plan can be paused for up to 4 weeks per year, and there is no minimum term. See the pricing page for full plan details, discounts and payment terms.

Question 14

What is the difference between the Exclusive plan and the Hifz Program?

Both include 5 classes per week, but they serve different goals: Exclusive — $99/month — 5 standard Quran classes per week, 30-minute sessions; Hifz Program — $129/month — 5 memorisation-focused classes per week, 40–45-minute sessions. The Hifz Program is designed for memorisation, revision and long-term Hifz progress. Exclusive is our highest-frequency standard Quran plan and does not include Hifz coaching. Question 15

Do female tutors cost more?

Accepted Answer

No. Male and female tutors use the same published plan prices, and tutor gender does not add a separate fee — it is a preference you set when you register, not a premium tier. Availability can depend on the days and times you ask for, so tell us your preferred schedule when you book your free trial and we will match where we can.

Question 16

How do I pay, and which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We currently accept direct bank transfer only. We do not currently offer PayPal, card payment, or an online checkout. After your free trial and enrolment confirmation, our team will provide the bank-transfer payment details. You are never asked for payment before your free trial class.

Question 17

What currency are prices in, and can I pay from outside the US?

Accepted Answer

Prices are shown in USD and billed monthly. We currently accept direct bank transfer only. International transfers are welcome from anywhere in the world. Your bank or an intermediary payment provider may apply its own transfer or currency-conversion charges, which are outside our control. The GBP and EUR figures on the pricing page are equivalents shown for clarity, not separate billing currencies.

Question 18

Do you offer a discount for paying several months in advance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Save 5% when paying for 3 months in advance, or 10% when paying for 12 months in advance. Mention it when you book your free trial and we will confirm the discounted total in writing before you enrol. If you cancel an advance-payment plan early, the months you have used and any month already under way are recalculated at the normal monthly price without the advance-payment discount, and the remaining balance for completely unused future months is refunded. You can compare the plans before deciding how far ahead to pay.

Question 19

Is there a sibling or family discount?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each additional child receives 20% off their plan. Mention it when booking your free trial and we will confirm the discounted price before you enrol.

Question 20

What if a student joins partway through the month?

Accepted Answer

When a student joins partway through a month, the first payment may be adjusted proportionally for the remaining classes. We confirm the adjusted amount with you before the first payment.

Question 21

Can I cancel, and is my payment refundable?

Accepted Answer

You may cancel future monthly renewal at any time. Payment for a teaching month is non-refundable once that month has started. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee — cancelling stops the next month's renewal, and you keep the classes you have already paid for. If you cancel after paying for 3 or 12 months in advance, completed teaching months and any teaching month already under way are recalculated at the normal monthly price without the advance-payment discount. Any remaining balance for completely unused future teaching months will be refunded. The full wording is in our Terms & Conditions.

Question 22

Can I pause my plan during Ramadan, exams, or travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can pause for up to 4 weeks per year at no cost — just give us a week's notice. Longer pauses (for example a full summer off) are handled case by case. Your tutor and regular time will be kept where possible, subject to tutor availability.

Question 23

What happens if I miss a class or need to reschedule?

Accepted Answer

You can reschedule any class with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge and no lost class. Emergencies (illness, travel) can be rescheduled at shorter notice through your tutor. Classes missed without any notice are not refunded, but we try to flex within the same week wherever possible.

Can I switch plans later if my needs change?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade any month with one week's notice. Most students start on Basic or Moderate and move up when they are ready for more frequent classes — billing adjusts from the next cycle with no switching fees.

Are your Quran teachers qualified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our tutors are Hafiz or Hafiza and hold Hifz certification. Selected tutors also hold an Ijazah to teach. Before taking students, each tutor is reviewed for English fluency, teaching patience, and age-group fit. Many specialise in a specific course (Tajweed, Hifz, or beginner Qaida) or a specific age group.

Can I choose a male or female tutor?

Yes. We have male and female Hafiz and Hafiza tutors, all certified in Hifz, available at no extra cost — you specify your preferred tutor gender when registering. Female tutors are the most common request for women, teenage girls, and family privacy, and are standard at Allamal Quraan, never a premium tier.

Will I have the same tutor over months, or do tutors rotate?

The same tutor stays with you across terms — that is the model. The tutor learns your pace, mistakes, and goals, so nothing has to be re-explained every term. This continuity matters most in Hifz and Tajweed, where switching tutors mid-course often costs months of progress.

Can I switch tutors if the match isn't right?

Accepted Answer

Yes, anytime, without having to explain why. Tutor fit (especially for kids and adult beginners) matters more than credentials on paper, and we would rather reassign you to a tutor who works for you than have you struggle with one who does not.

Do your tutors speak my home language as well as English?

Accepted Answer

All teaching is in English, but many tutors additionally speak Arabic, and several speak Urdu, Hindi, or French. If you would like a tutor who can also speak a specific second language — usually for parent conversations or context — mention it when booking your trial and we will match where possible.

Question 30

Will my tutor watch my recitation live and correct mistakes?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that is the whole point of a live 1-on-1 class. The tutor hears every verse you recite over Zoom or Google Meet, corrects pronunciation and Tajweed verse by verse, and adjusts the next class based on what needed work. For Salat students, the tutor also watches the motions on camera and corrects posture and recitation together.

What platform do you use for online Quran classes?

Accepted Answer

Classes are usually held on Zoom or Google Meet. Skype can also be arranged if preferred. There is no separate Allamal Quraan video-call app to install, and no login is required just to join a class — you use the standard, free version of the video tool. We send the meeting link by email or WhatsApp before each class.

What hardware and software do I need to take a class?

Accepted Answer

A laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone, the free Zoom app or an up-to-date browser for Google Meet, and a quiet space. A headset or earphones with a microphone improves audio quality noticeably — especially for Tajweed correction — but a built-in laptop or phone mic is enough to start.

What internet speed do I need?

Accepted Answer

A stable 3–5 Mbps connection is enough for a smooth 1-on-1 video class. Wired Ethernet or 5GHz Wi-Fi closer to the router gives the most reliable experience; mobile-data hotspots also work for occasional classes if the signal is steady.

What time zones do you support?

Accepted Answer

All of them. Our tutors cover early-morning, after-school, evening, and weekend slots across the UK, Europe, Middle East, North America, Australia, and East Asia. Daylight Saving and time-zone changes are handled automatically — you do not need to email us about clock changes.

Question 35

What happens if Zoom fails or my internet drops during a class?

Accepted Answer

Your tutor will try to reconnect on the same platform; if Zoom is down, we usually switch to Google Meet mid-class. Time lost to a connection issue on our side is added back to the class or rescheduled at no charge. We do not penalise students for technical issues beyond their control.

Question 36

How do I reschedule a class, and is there a fee?

Message your tutor or our admin team — WhatsApp is fastest — with at least 24 hours' notice. There is no rescheduling fee, and we move the class to another slot in the same week wherever possible. Emergencies are handled at shorter notice; only no-notice missed classes are non-refundable.
