Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Allamal Quraan (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects the personal information of visitors, students, and parents who use our online Quran classes and our website allamalquraan.com.

We are a fully remote online Quran academy with a founding team based in Pakistan, the UK, and Norway. We do not operate a physical campus. Our service is delivered entirely over the internet in private 1-on-1 classes.

Directly from you: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, preferred class schedule, tutor gender preference, and any information you provide when booking a trial class, filling out the contact form, or communicating with us via email, WhatsApp, or through your assigned tutor.

From parents, for student enrolment records: for students under 18, we collect the child’s first name, age, and level from the parent or guardian. All billing and administrative communication remains with the parent or guardian.

Automatically when you visit the site: standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrer) and the analytics data described in section 6. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.

If student or parent accounts become available: we do not currently offer an online student or parent account. We are working on one. If we make it available, any information you enter or that we store in that account will be covered by this Privacy Policy, and we will update this page before it launches.

• To schedule and conduct your private 1-on-1 Quran classes.
• To match you with a suitable tutor (including gender preference where requested).
• To reply to your messages by email, WhatsApp, or contact form.
• To administer direct bank-transfer payments and maintain billing records.
• To keep records of class attendance, progress, billing, and enrolment status.
• To improve our website, teaching, and customer support.

Where the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or similar data protection laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Contract: to deliver the classes you have booked and to manage your enrolment.
• Legitimate interests: to run and improve our service, communicate with enquirers, and protect our users and systems.
• Consent: where you have opted in (for example to optional updates). You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: to keep records required by accounting, tax, or other laws that apply to our business.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share only the minimum necessary data with:

• Your assigned tutor — so they can teach your class and keep progress notes.
• Banking and remittance services — payment is made by direct bank transfer to our designated company bank account, so your bank and any remittance service you use will see the transaction. Any currency conversion is handled by your bank at its current rate; we do not store your bank-account credentials on our systems.
• Video-call providers — Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype where arranged, whichever is used for your class, to deliver the class.
• Essential service providers — our website hosting and email providers, and Google Analytics for privacy-respectful, aggregate visitor analytics.
• Regulators or law enforcement — only where we are legally required to.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or any cookie that profiles you across other websites. We also do not set cookies of our own to run the site — our booking and contact forms keep what you type in the page itself and do not store it in a cookie.

We do use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — which pages are read, on what kind of device, and where the site is reached from — never to identify an individual student or parent. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and we never send it a name, email address, phone number, or message content.

To count returning visits rather than treating every page view as a new person, Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies in your browser: _ga and _ga_<property>. Both expire on their own — in current browsers, at most around 13 months after they are set. They are the only cookies this site sets.

We do not currently show a cookie banner. You can block or delete these cookies at any time in your browser settings, or by using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking them does not affect your classes or your ability to use any part of this site.

We keep your information only for as long as we need it. Our standard retention periods are:

• Student enrolment records (enrolment details, class schedule, tutor progress notes, and — where a student or parent account has been provided — that account’s details) — kept for 3 years after your last class, to support re-enrollment and continuity if you return.
• Support and contact-form communications — kept for 2 years from the date of the message, so we can refer back to context if you reach out again.
• Billing and payment records — kept for 7 years, in line with accounting and tax record-keeping obligations.

Trial-class enquiries that do not lead to enrollment are merged into the support-communications retention period above. When a retention period ends, the relevant records are deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal retention we must follow).
• Withdraw consent for optional communications.
• Request an export of your personal data.
• Complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@allamalquraan.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where required, within the period mandated by applicable law.

Because our team is remote across Pakistan, the UK, and Norway, and our tutors teach from various countries, your personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled under comparable protections wherever our team works, including the use of contractual safeguards with service providers where applicable.

Many of our students are children aged 5 and above. A parent or guardian must book, pay for, and manage the enrolment. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children — all administrative communication runs through the parent or guardian, and this will remain the case if student or parent accounts become available.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will remove it.

We use reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your data — encrypted transport (HTTPS) across our website and access controls on our internal systems. Because payment is made by direct bank transfer between your bank and ours, we operate no online checkout and never ask you to enter card details on this site. No system is completely secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and will notify you if a breach affects you and we are legally required to do so.

If we materially change this Privacy Policy, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we will also notify active students by email.
